I played badminton with Kanoko on the beach (she was one half of the couple who propriet the beach front guest huts I Ya Lang Ka). It was fun and unbelievably exhausting. I like badminton - especially on sand - you can really dive about and feel like you have a chance of pulling off cool shots... not that I actually did pull off any cool shots!

Later that evening I watched the volleyball game that Kanoko was involved in, in which all the other players were men. The sun was setting over the beach.

"Mike", one of the players shouted to me, "beautiful sunset, huh?". I hadn't met him, Kanoko must have pointed me out.

"Yes, and there's some topless photography going on over there!" I shouted back.

It's true, there was.
